Scenic Art

Scenic Art was my last rotation which I was very nervous about. I normally like painting but in my own time when no one is watching me. So I was nervous to be in a room full of people while working on a sign for this project. I soon relaxed into it as my tutor was extremely helpful and positive about my work. There was so much I didn't know about painting like colour mixing for one that was amazing to learn about and also the many different types of paints and methods of applying paints.

After playing around with paints and textures we had to pick a sign that had rusting/old effect on it and something with a colour you had to make yourself, this was extremely fun as having done textiles I love working with textures and colour although this was nothing like I was used to it was extremely fun and a new way of painting for me.

I choose a quirky sign that only had two colours but plenty rust and texture to it, it was a old style sign that I think would have been displayed in a coffee shop.

After we had made our signs we were helping out on production work which was really cool as this years musical theatre show is Cabaret, so everything is black and shiny its amazing. This was the end of my rotations and the end of hanging out with this amazing group of people so here's a cute photo on our last day.
