Me and Lauren used our sunday to do some more printing but this time taking it to a whole new level. Instead of just getting a ready made tote bag and creating our own prints (as fun and easy as it is) we worked together using both our printing and sewing talents and made something so cute and yummy looking. I have to say I found the inspiration for this idea on Instagram.
With my sewing skills and Laurens painting and creativity we managed to create a small coin purse in the shape of a half water melon. This is the first final piece we have both played our part in making and I feel proud of both our team work. I cut fabric to the shape needed and sewed it together creating a small purse, lauren drew and with fabric paint carefully brought the melon purse to life.
Using such bright and beautiful colours it really looks like a piece of water melon, it is also such a cute size and perfect for keeping all your coins together in one safe place.
