Wearable Art

Last year I entered this Wearable Art Competition thinking I would never be picked for the final show, surprisingly I got the email saying both my pieces had been picked as finalists. As excited as I was I knew I had no chance of winning there is so much talent in Dundee, I was just glad to have the opportunity to meet fellow artists.

As I thought ever entry was outstanding every outfit that was involved deserved to win, I was there to enjoy myself now after seeing the competition. It was interesting to see what people thought as ‘wearable art’ not two pieces looked the same it was all so unique so unusual, I was so inspired talking to these artists they all had so much experience it made me think about what kinda things I will get up to in the future.

The whole day and night was so much fun, hanging backstage going on stage for rehearsals making sure the music and lighting was perfect for my models going down the catwalk. The energy was amazing everyone was so nice and just wanted to enjoy themselves. I missed the show as I had to stay backstage but it was a relief to know my parents, gran and aunty where in the crowd cheering me on. They are my biggest supporters and I just know I wouldn’t be able to do the things I’ve done with out there support.
My little cousin and her friend volunteered to be models.
Here is some images from on stage and backstage.
